 It turns out that God does not leave waterproof gloves on Norwegian ferries for cyclists.

Water resistant gloves maybe, if by level of resistance, were talking the level of resistance I would put forth right now were you to offer me a slice of chocolate cake and a hot cup of coffee.

This realization leaves me in a theological quandary. Which of these is it?

1. God does not leave waterproof gloves on Norwegian ferries for cyclists.

2. God does leave waterproof gloves on Norwegian ferries for cyclists, but they’re not truly waterproof. This is to teach us that perfection is not the goal even for God.

3. God does not exist.

4. Waterproof gloves do not exist.

As you ponder that, I will leave you with a riddle.

What do you call a person who doesn’t believe in God? - An atheist.

What do you call a person who does not believe in waterproof gloves? - Cold and wet.
